This image describes how he makes so much money just for a hitting a ball. You start looking at the picture and question, does he really deserve that much money for just entertaining people for hitting a ball out of the park? Does he deserve to get money just for wearing Nike shoes? You can see that he is really built, so you assume that most of the working in order to get to his position is to get stronger and faster. It is a use of logos, showing that he uses his ability to hit a ball out of a park to entertain fans, and thus earn millions of dollars. The ethos presented here is the New York Yankees uniform, because if you wear that uniform it is safe to assume that you are good at baseball. Also the Nike shoes is use of ethos since Nike is a large company that sponsors famous athletes.
Making an argument with an image is a different and a more effective way of preseting a topic. There is more than one way of analyzing a picture, and thus explains more than words can explain just by one look. It is also a lot easier, because some words cannot explain the feel, emotion, and other characteristics a picture shows.
